Localhost Oceanside in California is now open adjacent to Five Below store

PHILADELPHIA, March 29, 2021Nerd Street Gamers, the national esports infrastructure company, announced today the opening of its Localhost esports and gaming center in Oceanside, California.

The Grand Opening for Localhost Oceanside is taking place this Saturday, April 3rd at 11 a.m. PDT, and will offer free gameplay on powerful, professional-grade gaming computers.

Localhost Oceanside will be connected to a Five Below store, as part of Nerd Street’s ongoing partnership with the teen-focused retailer, and will provide opportunities for gamers of all ages and skill levels to participate in esports tournaments, camps, team training, private events like birthday parties, and hourly play for a wide variety of video games. At over 2,200 square feet, Localhost Oceanside will include professional-grade gaming computers and consoles plus high-performance gaming accessories, along with options for refreshments and apparel from the adjacent Five Below store.

This announcement comes on the heels of the inception of Nerd Street’s partnership with Five Below following the retailer’s investment in the company’s Series A round in 2020. As part of the funding, the companies agreed to build as many as 70+ Localhost locations within Five Below stores nationwide over the next few years.

“Our corporate mission, and that of our ongoing partnership with Five Below, is to make esports accessible to all by providing access to the equipment necessary to participate in the life opportunities the industry has to offer. Oceanside’s long history of local gaming communities provides the perfect next step for our partnership with Five Below as we grow our national footprint and make this vision a reality,” said John Fazio, CEO of Nerd Street Gamers.

Nerd Street has become synonymous with bringing fun, competitive experiences to gamers of all demographics and skill levels, especially on the East Coast where the company is headquartered in Philadelphia. As Nerd Street expands nationally, the company announced in February 2020 its intent to open the largest public esports facility on the West Coast in Los Angeles in 2021.

Localhost Oceanside will serve to further increase the company’s Southern California footprint and connect more communities to the social, career, and educational opportunities esports has to offer. With hundreds of universities providing scholarship offerings to esports athletes, access to this technology is about more than just gaming.

Localhost Oceanside is located adjacent to the Five Below store at 459 College Blvd, Suite 9, Oceanside, CA 92057. Visit the following link to learn more about the location: localhost.gg/oceanside
